In his greetings, “The Ri-Costruire exhibition,” explains the president of Longarone Fiere Dolomiti, Gian Angelo Bellati, “is an opportunity not to promote further cementing, but to promote reconstruction, renovation, and the use of renewable energy and sustainable materials. The building sector, in fact, is fully involved and requires, as Giancarlo Caratti emphasised yesterday, close cooperation between the public and private sectors.
Dr. Marina Calderone, National President of the Permanent Unitary Committee of Professional Orders and Colleges, also sent her greetings in a video specially made for this meeting, turning her thoughts in particular to the many workers from Eastern Europe, in this sad scenario of war. “We want to make the world of work more welcoming for all workers,” Calderone said, looking at the construction sector, where the number of people employed has increased, but also the number of accidents at work, including fatal ones. Introducing and moderating the speakers was the President of CUP Belluno, Innocenzo Megali: “With this union of objectives and forces, we are trying to present a united front and discuss issues of interest to everyone. Important contributions were also made by inspection bodies such as INAIL, Spisal and the Territorial Labour Inspectorate.
Plenty of space was given to schools and the young generations. The CFS Belluno vocational training centre, which trains more than 120 young people with the qualification of building technician, electrical technician and thermo-hydraulic technician, was the first in Italy to launch an experiment in the field of worksite digitalisation. In particular, explains Director Danilo De Zaiacomo, “the digitalisation of the worksite is necessary to connect the worksite, the company, the suppliers, the workers, connecting different professionals, in order to build better”. The CFS is also presenting the highly specialised course on the use of machinery “Tecnico gestione e manutenzione macchine operatrici”, with 400 hours in the classroom and laboratory for mechanical and electronic management and maintenance, in cooperation with ENAIP. The Training Centre believes strongly in alternating school-work and has found a valid partner in the company Infominds Spa of Bressanone. Mauro Pastore, digital consultant at the company, explains that the project to develop digitalisation within CFS Belluno is an experiment to digitalise processes in the building and construction sector. “With software, it is possible not only to carry out tasks, but also to share information with all the operators and actors on the construction site,” he says, helping to speed up processes and encouraging the systematic storage of data. Angelo, a student from class IV of the Institute, says that the app developed and tested on the construction site by the young people in his class, is able to facilitate work on the construction site and considers it an important tool that the school provides to keep up with the times. This tool”, continues Director De Zaiacomo, “demonstrates how digital training is indispensable and how young people are testimonials of the new tools of the future in the construction industry”. Another valuable partner of the school is the company Mela Works srl, represented by Emanuele Zamponi, who illustrates the programme used by the young people during their internships and which the CFS would like to implement during the training courses as well. Mela is a platform for the digitalisation of construction sites, with a mobile and a desktop interface that can be easily used both in the office and on the construction site.
The testimonials of some companies were also important, including Keralpen, a leading company in the production and optimisation of the Traditional Tyrolean Stove. “The company,” emphasises owner Bruno Schiocchet, “also has an energy research laboratory for the rapid drying of biomass, one of the key processes for being able to use wood as any other fuel”. Keralpen also believes it is essential to invest in the use of catalysts to reduce fine dust. Basically, it is necessary to invest in this research to increasingly free Italy’s energy future from foreign resources and international crises. But it also focuses on the use of materials with unique properties that are increasingly difficult to find, such as lithium minerals, which are often wasted for lesser uses. Finally, G&P Intech, with Vincenzo de Martino, a company specialising in structural consolidation and seismic upgrading with particular reference to composite materials, also took part.
Last appointment, the CUP Belluno conference on Superbonus and Bonus in construction 2022. President Megali emphasised 2022, because we are talking about the state of affairs, in terms of clarity and support for professionals’ immediate operations. A complete picture of the active opportunities, including bonus facades, bonus renovations, ecobonus and seismic bonus, was given by P.I. Alessandro Bianchet, while Dr. Paolo De Biasio represented the Order of Chartered Accountants. The scenario was completed with some completed examples by arch. Giampaolo Zanon.
